Best Car Hire Saudi Arabia Rental Terms for travel between 01-Mar-2016 and 31-Dec-2019

An initial, non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. Accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard.
The balance is to be paid directly to the supplier on arrival.

Acceptable forms of payment by the supplier
Customers are required to have a Credit Card for this booking. The main driver must be in possession of a Credit Card in their own name when picking up the car. The Card must have enough available funds to cover the excess / deposit amount (which will be blocked on the Card for the duration of the rental). The Card will also be required to pay for local fees, extra equipment and anything purchased additionally at the car hire counter.

We will not accept prepaid, recharge or virtual credit cards – or any card on which the relevant characters are not raised (‘embossed’).

Full Insurance with Deductible
Limits the driver’s liability in the event that the rental car is damaged, subject to the terms of the rental agreement. Rather than the full cost, the driver is generally only responsible for the first portion, known as ‘excess’. This protection applies to all authorized drivers of the rental car. Damage due to misuse of the car is not covered.

Theft Protection (TP)
Theft Protection (TP) limits the driver’s liability for costs incurred by the theft of the rental car – or damage incurred by the theft or attempted 
theft – to an ‘excess’ amount, subject to the terms of the rental agreement. TP does not cover personal belongings.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) covers medical and legal costs incurred by bodily injuries resulting from an accident, including death and loss of limb(s), subject to the terms of the rental agreement. This protection applies to all authorized drivers of the rental car.

Limited to 200 kilometers per day; additional kilometers are charged at SAR 0.40 – 2.0 according to the car type including tax for every 1 kilometers extra.

Customers are responsible for all toll fees, congestion charges, speeding tickets, parking fines & traffic fines - and all associated administration costs.

License Requirements
When picking the car up, the main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a valid driving license in their name. Like almost all car hire companies in KSA, We cannot accept the Chinese Driving License and its notarized translation. An International Driving License (IDL) is required unless the driver is a GCC national or resident, in which case a valid license from their country of residence will be accepted. GCC countries include Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE.
For GCC nationals a valid GCC license issued from the Country of nationality must be provided.
For GCC residents, the driving license must be issued from the same Country as the residency.

Forms of Identification
Customer traveling to Saudi Arabia for Hajj or Umrah cannot rent a car. Customers wanting to rent a car must have either a Business, Commercial or Visitors visa; or be a Saudi National, Resident, or a Citizen of the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries. Without this type of Visa or citizenship you will be unable to enter the country and you will be unable to rent.
Note: Under Saudi law, women are not allowed to drive. A Passport is required for visitors Iqama or ID for Saudi or GCC citizens

Age Requirements
Minimum age limit is 21.
Maximum age is 65.
Age-related restrictions will apply to all additional drivers.

Insurance Information
All rental cars must have Full Insurance with deductible and Theft Protection (TP). Both policies will be included in our package.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) limits the driver’s liability in the event that the rental car is damaged due to an accident, subject to the terms of the rental agreement. The driver is generally not responsible for any extra payment
  • This protection applies to all authorized drivers of the rental car.
  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is purchasable at extra cost.
Our Insurance coverage products will not cover:
  • repairs not approved by the car hire company
  • charges directly related to locking out of the rental car or losing its key(s)
  • cleaning charges or damage to the car’s interior (unless caused by a collision)
  • All drivers must abide by the terms of the rental agreement: our Insurance coverage products will not cover any cost incurred under circumstances which violate those terms, such as dangerous, careless or negligent driving, refueling errors, or driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Deposit / Excess
We will require a deposit amount of SAR 1,000 – 3000 according to the car type excluding tax at pick-up. The deposit will be returned after
the rental, as long as all conditions have been met. The car has a damage excess of SAR 2,500 excluding tax. The car has a theft excess of SAR 2,500 excluding tax.

Cover Agreements
At the car hire counter, you may decide to buy additional cover to reduce or remove your excess (CDW). Policies normally exclude things such as windscreens, glass, wheels, tires, undercarriage, interior, personal belongings, towing charges & off-road time – as well as any ‘extra equipment’ hired from the car hire company, such as child seats and GPS devices. Cover will be invalidated by negligence, refueling errors or breaking the terms of the rental agreement (for example, by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs).

Fuel Policy Options
The customer will agree on one of the following fuel policies at pick-up: Drop the car off with the same amount of fuel it had at pick-up, or Pay for fuel when dropping the car off.

Extra Services (Payable at Counter)
One-Way Rentals
If you arrange to pick the car up in one location and drop it off in another, we may charge a one-way fee to cover the cost of returning the car to the original location. The cost of this service will be confirmed after the client have made the booking and we have confirmed that this would be allowed.

Cross-Border and Boundary rules
Customers whose travel plans include driving outside the country of rental or crossing borders must advise us before they pick the car up. Restrictions may apply for certain visa types or countries which may require the customer to pay additional fees.

Taxes & Fees
Any additional services will be subject to any applicable location fees.

Extra Equipment (Payable at Counter)
Pay local extras equipment
Additional extras should be requested at the time of pick-up, and paid at the time of pick-up. Please note that we cannot guarantee their availability - and that prices may be subject to change.

Extra Equipment Conditions
Customers requiring extra equipment may have to leave a deposit at the car hire counter.

Additional Drivers
The cost to add an additional driver is SAR 25 per agreement.

Important Information
Accident or Breakdown - In the event of a breakdown, accident or mechanical difficulties, the client must call us immediately. We give authority for repairs or replacement cars. The client should keep copies of all documentation he is asked to complete. For accidents, a police report and an incident report must be required. 
Roadside Assistance –We will provide some kind of emergency roadside assistance service, for which you may have to pay extra.
Lost Keys - If you lose your key(s), you will be charged the cost of replacement.
At pick-up, the customers may choose to take a different car, rather than the one reserved for them
If they do, they may be charged an additional cost in case if the new selected car is a higher category.

The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
